  1. Shoulderboards & -straps (singles)

This is a very attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless truly scarcely found! - example of an early-period (ie. 'M36- o. M40'-pattern and/or pointed-styled and as per regulation non-piped), WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstrap as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier u. Mitglied des Infanterie-Ergänzungs-Regiments 8' (or: NCO and junior-sergeant who served within the army-infantry replacement-regiment, numbered: '8') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat strap - which is executed in the darker-green-coloured wool - is void of any piping and is of the generic-pattern as to be expected. The strap measures approximately 11,4 cms. in length and comes mounted onto its original tongue. Next to the (typical) 'dotted'-pattern NCO-braid does the piece show the neat (machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei'), Gothic-styled 'E'-cypher and/or '4'-numeral (or: 'Ziffer') attached (which are both executed in the white- ie. 'weisser'-coloured wool ie. linnen as to be expected). The strap - which is of the typical 'standard-issued'-pattern - shows as stated above only minimal usage and wear (just some minimal age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). It should be noted that ALL 'cyphered', NCO-pattern, 'Infanterie-Ergänzungs'-type shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'scarce' and come not that often for sale. In any case a very attractive and early-war-period, 'Heeres-Infanterie'-related, NCO-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier u. Mitglied des Infanterie-Ergänzungs-Regiments 8': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
