This is a truly attractive - fully matching and actually not that easily encountered! - neatly 'cyphered'- (and I deem) early- (ie. mid-) war-period pattern pair of NCO-type shoulderstraps as was specifically intended for usage on the field-grey coloured navy-style tunics as worn by an: 'Oberfeldwebel eines Küsten-Artillerie-Abteilungs' (or: senior NCO ie. sergeant first-class who served within a naval coastal-artillery unit) and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem just minimally used- ie. worn- and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The straps - which are fully 'text-book' in all facets - measure approximately 10,3 cms. in length (and have a width of approx. 5 cms. as more often seen) have the typical field-grey-coloured- and/or woolen-based 'upperdecks' and come mounted onto their period tongues (as can be noticed on the pictures). The straps show the typical (tarnished golden-toned) KM-pattern NCO-braid and four (matching, smaller-sized and/or zinc-based) pips period-attached and do show the neat interwoven 'winged-shell-anchor'-cyphers (as executed in golden-yellow-coloured linnen) denoting the senior-NCOs rank of an: 'Oberfeldwebel'. The straps do show some moderate age and/or wear (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be noted that ALL 'Küsten-Artillerie' insignia-pieces are actually quite hard to encounter: those 'cyphered' examples even more so, which grades them easily as 'scarce'. Simply an attractive and neatly 'cyphered', naval NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for usage on the field-grey-coloured attire!
