Regrettably single - but nevertheless scarcely encountered! - WH (Luftwaffe) collar-tab and dito shoulderboard as was intended for usage by a: 'Flieger-Stabsingenieur' (being a rank similar to: 'Major')

This is an attractive - regrettably single but nevertheless scarcely encountered! - two-pieced, WH (Luftwaffe) ie. 'Ingenieurskorps der Luftwaffe'-related) insignia-set, respectively comprising of a neatly hand-embroidered collar-tab (ie. 'Kragenspiegel für Offiziere der Luftwaffe') as executed on a (typical) bright-pink-coloured background and dito single shoulderboard, as both specifically intended for an officer holding the rank of: 'Flieger-Stabsingenieur' (being a rank similar to: 'Major') and that come both in an overall nice- (I deem just moderately used- ie. carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The tab is executed in the neat smooth-like (ie. 'moleskin'-type) wool and truly shows extraordinary detail: the shown craftmanship is simply stunning (as can be seen on the pictures). The tabs'-backing is constructed of reddish-brown-coloured carton (as can be seen on the pictures). The shoulderboard (that is having a bright-silver-toned 'upperdeck' as to be expected is also executed from bright-pink-toned and smooth-like (ie. 'moleskin'-type) wool. The board measures approx. 11,5 cms. in length and never had any pips attached. The piece is a typical example of a 'sew-in'-pattern board and came with a (smaller-sized, pebbled-styled) tunic-button attached. Both insignia-pieces were stored together for decased and belonged to the same 'Flieger-Stabsingenieur' who used and/or stored these insignia for decades. Both pieces do show some minimal age- ie. staining simply caused by moderate wear and/or decades of storage only: moreover, do they shows some glue- ie. carton-remains on their backs (as can be seen on the pictures). These 'pink-coloured'- (and higher-ranked!) LW-insignia-pieces as intended for senior-staffmembers of the 'Ingenieurkorps der Luftwaffe' are quite hard to encounter and can easily be graded 'fairly scarce'. This set was found at a private-household in Germany and originated from a LW-Major and 'Ingenieur' who wore these insignia and stored these for decades. Simply a very attractive 2-pieced insignia-set that belonged to a: 'Flieger-Stabsingenieur' and that is I deem accordingly priced!
