  1. Shoulderboards & -straps (singles)

This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless scarcely found! - WH (Heeres) early-war-period, so-called: 'M36-/M40'-pattern (and rounded-style) 'cyphered' enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap having the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - a: 'Soldat des Pionier-Bataillons 49' (or: simple soldier who served within the army engineers'-battalion, numbered: '40') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn- ie. I deem clearly tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderstrap - which is approximately 12 cms. sized in length as to be expected - has the 'standard-type'- and/or and/or darker-green-coloured, (smooth)woolen-based 'upperdeck' and shows the so-called: '4'- and/or '9'-cyphers ie. numerals (or: 'Ziffern') which are neatly executed in so-called: 'Handstickerei'). Both 'cyphers' are executed in the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured wool ie. linnen and are additionally piped in white as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - which came without tongue and that was clearly intended for usage as a strap of the 'sew-in'-pattern - shows as stated above some moderate usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). I deem that this strap that came with a silveish-toned (pebbled-styled) company-button attached (that shows the numeral: '9') is a typical example of a so-called: 'tailor-made' strap. It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-pattern, WH (Heeres) shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly scarce'. This strap originates from an older shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive and/or: early-war-period, neatly 'cyphered' and/or 'Heeres'-related EM-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Pionier-Bataillons 49'!
