Single - and actually not that often seen! - WH (Heeres) NCO-type (ie. 'M36- o. M40'-pattern- and 'pointed styled') 'cyphered' shoulderstrap as was intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier des Infanterie-Rgts. 73'

This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single! - WH (Heeres), early- (ie. pre-war-) period, so-called: 'M36- o. M40'-pattern- (pointed-styled) 'cyphered'- and/or per regulation non-piped NCO-type shoulderstrap as was intended for - and worn by! - an: 'Unteroffizier des Infanterie-Regiments 73' (or: junior-sergeant who served within the army infantry-unit ie. regiment numbered: '73') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The shoulderstrap - which is approximately 11,7 cms. sized in length - has the 'standard-type'- and/or darker-green-coloured, smooth-woolen-based 'upperdeck' and has (of course) no piping attached. The strap shows the neat (machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei'-) so-called: '7'- and '3'-cyphers ie. numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') which 'cyphers' are executed in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured wool ie. linnen as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - which comes mounted onto its functional tongue - has the 'standard-pattern' (silver-coloured and 'dotted'-pattern) NCO-braid attached and shows as stated above moderate usage and/or wear and is just minimally stained (as can be noticed on the pictures). Of additional interest is the presence of a small ink-stamp on the underside of the tongue that reads: 'M 12' (something that is more often but not always encountered). It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-pattern shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly scarce'. Simply an attractive and/or: early-war-period, neatly 'cyphered' and/or 'Heeres'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier des Infanterie-Regiments 73'!
