This is a very attractive - and/or fully matching! - pair of early- (ie. pre-) war-period, so-called: 'M36 o. M40'-pattern- (ie. pointed-styled- and/or neatly 'cyphered') enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstraps (being a pair having no branchcolour ie. piping as per regulation) as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des des Wehr-Ersatzdienstelle im Wehrkreises IX' (or simple soldier who was part of the recruitment-troops within the area of: 'Wehrkreis XI' being a larger area situated in the provinces Hessen and Thüringen and of which its staff was residing in the town of Kassel) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem just minimally used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat straps show some minimal age and/or wear and have the darker-green-coloured- and/or woolen-based 'upperdecks': they have (as stated above) no branchcolour ie. piping as per regulation. The shoulderstraps come mounted onto their period tongues attached, something that is actually quite unusual. The straps - which measure both approximately 10,8 cms. in length each - show the neatly embroidered (by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei') and Roman-styled 'IX'-numerals ie. 'Ziffern' (which are executed in orange-coloured stitching as to be expected) denoting that it was a pair that was intended for a soldier who was attached to the: 'Wehr-Ersatzdienstelle im Wehrkreises IX'. Simply a very decorative and/or fully 'text-book' and actually not that often encountered! - 'Heeres'-type, 'cyphered' shoulderstrap-pair that belonged to a: 'Soldat des Wehr-Ersatzdienstelle im Wehrkreises IX'!
