  1. Shoulderboards & -straps (singles)

This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless quite scarcely encountered! - early- (ie. mid-) war-period- (ie. so-called: 'M40- o. M43'-pattern), WH (Heeres) 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstrap having the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured and/or 'woolen'-type piping attached as was intended for - and most certainly worn by! - a: 'Feldwebel des Wehr-Ersatzdienstelle im Wehrkreises XVII' (or: army-NCO ie. sergeant who was part of the infantry-troops serving within the area of the 'Wehrkreis XVII' (being a larger area situated in the Austrian provinces of amongst others Nieder-Östereich and residing in the town of Wien ie. Vienna) and that comes in overall nice- (albeit issued ie. moderately worn-), condition. The shoulderstrap - which shows some moderate usage and/or wear - comes in an overall nice condition and just shows some (minimal) moth-damage on its piping (as can be noticed on the pictures). The strap is executed in the typical field-grey-coloured wool and shows the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured and/or 'woolen'-type piping attached. The strap that comes mounted onto its functional tongue attached measures approximately 11,2 cms. in length and shows (next to the 'standard'-pattern, silver-toned NCO-braid) a: (larger-sized, 'Buntmetall'-based and/or Gothic-styled) so-called: 'W'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer'), a smaller-sized (Roman-styled and identically-styled) 'XVII'-numeral (ie. 'Ziffer') and a (larger-sized- and also 'Buntmetall'-based) pip, period-attached. I deem that I have priced this neat 'Feldwebel des Wehr-Ersatzdienstelle im Wehrkreises XVII'-shoulderstrap according to its evident desirability and/or comparative scarcity: too bad that it is only a single specimen!
