Attractive - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards as (dual)piped in the bright-red-coloured branchcolour as was intended for an: 'Oberleutnant der Reserve eines Artillerie-Regiments'

The attractive pair is neatly (dual)piped in the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour and has the typical dove-grey-coloured 'underlay' and was as such specifically intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant der Reserve eines Artillerie-Regiments' (or: reserve-lieutnant first-class who served within an artillery regiment or unit) and comes in an overall very nice- (I deem just minimally used- and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboards are 'text-book'-examples of the 'Heeres'-type, 'Artillerie'-shoulderboards and have the silverish-grey-coloured (ie. somewhat 'shiny'-pattern) 'upperdecks' (as can be noticed on the pictures). The boards show the desirable bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour (ie. 'Zwischenfarbe') and have the typical dove-grey-coloured 'underlays' (and were constructed from the typical 'smooth'-type wool as to be expected). The boards never had any tongues attached and were intended for - and surely used! - as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards measure approximately 11 cms. in length each and were most certainly issued- and/or worn as such and do show moderate age, wear and/or staining as to be expected. The pair - that was recently found at a German private-household - shows a fully matching set of (neatly bright-golden-toned, larger-sized and/or identical) pips period-attached. Both devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (and/or quite shiny!) age-patina. Simply an attractive WH (Heeres) officers'-pattern shoulderboard-pair that belonged to an: 'Oberleutnant der Reserve eines Artillerie-Regiments'!
