This is an attractive - matching and actually truly scarcely found! - pair of WH (Heeres) early-war-period, so-called: 'M36- o. M40'-pattern- (rounded-styled) 'cyphered', enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstraps as piped in the bright-yellow- (ie. 'zitronengelber'-) branchcolour as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - a: 'Soldat des Nachrichten-Abteilungs 6' (being I deem a so-called: 'Divisionseigene Abteilung' that was residing under the sixth infantry division) (or: simple soldier who served within the army signals-unit, numbered: '6') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The neat shoulderstraps - which are approximately 11,8 cms. sized in length - have the 'standard-type'- and/or darker-green-coloured, smooth-woolen-based 'upperdecks' and show the neat (machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei') so-called: '6'-cyphers ie. numerals (or: 'Ziffern'). Both 'cyphers' are executed in the bright-yellow- (ie. 'zitronengelber'-) coloured wool ie. linnen as to be expected: of interest is, moreover, the fact that the soldier who wore this pair was presumably tranferred from the 16th or the 6th 'Abteilung' something that can easily be corroborated by the presence of the period-removed '1'-cyphers ie. numerals (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps - which never had any tongues and that were most certainly worn as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern - show as stated above moderately usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-pattern, WH (Heeres) shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly scarce'. This shoulderstrap-pair originates from an older 'Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive and/or: early-war-period, neatly 'cyphered' and/or 'Heeres'-related EM-type shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Nachrichten-Abteilungs 6'!
