Pair of WH (Heeres), early- (ie. pre-war-) period, 'M36 o. M40'-pattern- (ie. pointed-styled) 'cyphered' shoulderstraps as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel des Infanterie-Rgts. 12'

This is an attractive - fully matching and with certainty scarcely found - pair of WH (Heeres), early- (ie. pre-war-) period, 'M36 o. M40'-pattern- (ie. pointed-styled) 'cyphered' and/or (typically) non-piped shoulderstraps, as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel des Infanterie-Regiments 12' (or: sergeant first-class who served within the infantry-regiment numbered: '12') and that comes in an overall nice- (I deem just moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The shoulderstraps - which measure both approximately 12,6 cms. in length - have the 'standard'-pattern- and/or darker-green-coloured, smooth-woolen-based 'upperdecks' and have (of course) no piping (as per regulation). The shoulderstraps show two (fully matching, smaller-sized-, silver-toned- and/or zinc- ie. 'Feinzink'-based) so-called: '1'- and/or '2'-numerals (ie. cyphers or 'Ziffern') and four (regular-sized and equally-styled) pips attached. The straps - which come mounted onto their functional tongues and that show the 'standard-issued'- (ie. 'dotted'-) pattern, silver-coloured NCO-braid attached - show as stated above moderate usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). It should be noted that all 'cyphered', 'Infanterie'-related NCO-type shoulderstraps are quite desirable and can easily be regarded 'scarce'. Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that the NCO who wore this pair carefully removed the surely once present (and by means of 'Kurbelstickerei'-stitched) '1'- and/or '2'-numerals and replaced these with metal specimen: the remains of the interwoven cyphers are still clearly visible and present. Simply an attractive, early- (ie. pre-war-) period, neatly 'cyphered, 'Heeres' shoulderstrap-pair that was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel des Infanterie-Regiments 12' that is (I deem) accordingly priced!
