Superb - and truly scarcely encountered! - 'Feinzink'-based HJ (ie. 'Hitlerjugend') so-called: 'Reichsberufswettkampf-Siegerabzeichen' of the 2nd model, 'Gausieger 1944', being a clearly maker- (ie.: 'Gustav Brehmer'-) marked example
This is a very attractive - 100% period and actually very scarcely encountered! - HJ (ie. 'Hitlerjugend') so-called: 'Reichsberufswettkampf-Siegerabzeichen' being a (typical) zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based badge of the 2nd model, bearing the text: 'Gausieger 1944' and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit just moderately worn- ie. used-), condition. The (later-war pattern) badge is as stated above executed in typical zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink') and is nicely maker-marked on its back with the makers'-designation: 'Gustav Brehmer - Markneukirchen' (as can be seen on the pictures). The neat badge comes in a just moderately used- ie. worn condition and truly retains a fully preserved beige-white- (ie. bright-red-) toned, painted finish(as can be seen on the pictures) something that is most certainly not always the case. The badge comes naturally mounted on its (fully functional- and totally unaltered-) 'ball-shaped'-catch and functional pin- (ie. catch) attachment. The badge has a 'true' zinc-like appearance and has never been cleaned nor polished. It should be noted that excellent copies exist of these 'Gausieger 1944'-badges: the example on offer here is naturally a fine, period example that originates from a private-household in Germany: it differs in various ways of these existing copies. Simply a very attractive and truly scarcely seen 'youth-item' that is with certainty accordingly priced!
