Fully matching pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-pattern shoulderboards as piped in the bright-red-toned branchcolour as was specifically intended for a: 'Hauptmann eines (Sturm)Artillerie-Rgts. o. Abtgs.'

The attractive - and fully matching! - WH officers'-pattern ('Heeres-(Sturm)Artillerie' ie. army-artillery-troops-related) shoulderboards are typical, 'text-book'-examples of the Heeres'-type shoulderboards and have the silver-greyish- (ie. truly somewhat 'sub-dued'-type-) 'upperdecks': they were with certainty issued and/or worn as such and do show some moderate age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the desirable bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth-type' wool as can be noticed on the pictures). The pair never had any tongues attached (it is of the so-called: 'sew-in'-pattern) and was most certainly used and/or carefully tunic-removed (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards measure approximately 10,5 cms. in length each and show each two pairs of (fully matching, bright-golden-toned, smaller-sized and/or 'Buntmetall'-based) pips period-attached denoting the officers'-rank of: 'Hauptmann' (or: captain). All four devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (albeit minimally darkened) age-patina. Of additional interest is, moreover, that all pips were attached BEFORE the boards were fully assembled. Taking into account, the fact that this pair has the somewhat 'sub-dued'-type 'upperdecks' I deem that it was a pair that was intended to be used on a regular 'front-used'-tunic. Simply an attractive WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair that belonged a: 'Hauptmann eines (Sturm)Artillerie-Regoments. o. Abteilungs' and that is with certainty accordingly priced!
