Unusual - truly used and actually scarcely seen! - example of a TR-period armband (ie. 'Armbinde') as was specifically intended for usage by the various officials serving within: 'Deutsche Reichspost'-organisation
This is a neat - moderately used and I deem tunic-removed and with certainty not that easily encountered! - darker-blue (ie. golden-yellow-toned) and typical machine-embroidered) example of a Third Reich-period armband (ie. 'Armbinde') as was specifically intended for usage by the various officials serving within: 'Deutsche Reichspost'-organisation and that comes in a just moderately used- (and/or I deem most certainly worn-), condition. These interesting armband were executed onto a darker-blue-coloured- and/or linnen-based background and were intended for usage by staff-members (ie. officers) tasked with various postal-duties and were worn onto the specific uniforms as used by this organisation (as can be noticed on the pictures). The armband measures approximately 38 x 7,5 cms. and shows a neatly interwoven (ie. machine-embriodered) illustration of a left-facing eagle-device coupled by the text: 'Reichspost'. The armband - that is not anymore sewn-together - shows some obvious age, wear and/or staining (as can be noticed on the pictures). I deem that it shows a (regrettably undecypherable) white-inked makers-designation-stamp on its back (as can be noticed on the pictures). This example originates from a larger-sized insignia-collection that was compiled over many years and that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive - and with certainty scarcely encountered! - 'Deutsche Reichspost'-related armband that is with certainty accordingly priced!
