WH (Luftwaffe)-related- (EM- ie. NCO-pattern-) machine-embroidered breast-badge ie. eagle-device showing the text: 'L. Bau' as was (I deem) specifically intended for staff working within the WH 'Generalluftzeugmeister'- (ie. 'GL'-) organisation
This is an attractive example of a WH (Luftwaffe)-related (and I deem EM- ie. NCO-pattern), machine-embroidered breast-badge( ie. eagle-device) showing the text: 'L. Bau' (as was presumably intended for staff working within the WH (Luftwaffe-related) so-called: 'Generalluftzeugmeister'- (ie. 'GL'-) organisation and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. clearly used- and/or once tunic-attached-), condition. This fairly unknown, TR-period-organisation - which was staffed with merely civilian personal but had commissioned (ie. air-force-) staff in the lead - was presumably active in various industrial- ie. building tasks dealing with the greater Luftwaffe. There is not much reference-work for the exact tasking ie. usage of these breast-badges. The badge on offer here is a detailed example that is executed in silverish-white-coloured-, linnen-based thread as woven on a black-coloured background. The badge - which is regular-sized and that measures from corner to corner 13 cms. - shows some truly minimal aging, wear and/or minimal handling. This particular example originated from the famous Dave Delich collection. Simply an attractive - and most certainly unusually encountered! - WH (LW) 'Generalluftzeugmeister'- ie. 'Bau'-related breast-badge that is priced according to its comparative rarity and/or desirability!
