This is a neat - and with certainty unusually encountered - example of a WH (Kriegsmarine) related breast-eagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Mannschaften u. Uffz. der Kriegsmarine') being a 'variant'-pattern and neatly hand-embroidered example as executed in bluish-grey linnen onto a white-coloured background and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem never used- ie. still 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. The piece - which is of the pattern that was worn on the various white-coloured tunics and attire throughout the war - comes in a very nice condition as can be noticed on the pictures. The piece just shows some minor staining simply caused by years of storage and/or handling. I deem that this attractive - and actually scarcely seen! - WH 'Kriegsmarine'-related, 'variant'-pattern breast-eagle is accordingly priced!
