This is a neat - and clearly worn and/or once 'pith-helmet'-mounted - example of a tropical-issued, WH (Heeres): 'DAK' (ie. 'Deutsches Afrikakorps') typical 'Buntmetall'-based, so-called: 'pith-helmet'-shield being a non-maker-marked example that was once mounted onto a pith-helmet and that comes in a clearly used- (and/or once 'pith-helmet'-attached-), condition. The detailed and/or pronounced! - piece comes still mounted onto its three (once-bent but still functional) prongs in place (as can be seen on the pictures). The painted areas of the shield does retain almost all of its original black-toned colour (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a nice opportunity to acquire an original, early-period and clearly worn 'DAK' (ie. 'Afrikakorps') so-called 'pith-helmet'-shield for a competitive price!
