Superb example of the - actually quite scarcely encountered! - HJ ('Hitlerjugend') armband ie. cuff-title, entitled: 'HJ-Streifendienst' (being a full-length example that was carefully tunic- and/or shirt-removed)
This is a truly attractive - and clearly used- and/or carefully tunic-removed! - example of the - actually scarcely encountered! - HJ ('Hitlerjugend') armband ie. cuff-title (ie. 'Ärmelstreifen') entitled: 'HJ-Streifendienst' as was executed in the neat 'BeVo'-weave pattern and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem minimally worn- ie. once tunic- ie. shirt-attached-), condition. The linnen-based- and neatly woven cuff-title - which comes in a full-length condition and measures approximately 37,5 cms. - signified that its bearer was a member of the: 'HJ Streifendienst' (literally translated as: 'patrol-service'). It is superbly woven in golden-toned, yellow linnen onto a black-coloured- (and also linnen-based-) background. Both ends show some minimal fraying as is more often seen. In fact, was this service - which was founded in 1936 - some sort of military-police of the HJ and was tasked with various functions such as policing HJ-rallies and transport movements, supervising HJ hostels and assisting HJ members at train-stations and camping-grounds. Its members wore white-piped shoulderboards. Later this service was 'officially' recognised as a sort of preparatory-school of the Waffen-SS: the members were expected to 'graduate' into the Waffen-SS after leaving the service. The band on offer here is a nicely preserved example that was as stated above moderately used and/or worn: it shows some moderate age, wear and/or staining as caused by fair wear and or storage for decades. This example is void of its (once present) RzM-etiket: just the remains are present (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very attractive - and truly unusually encountered! - HJ cloth item: one of the best examples of this scarcely seen HJ-cuff-title I ever had on offer!
