Pair of early- (ie. mid-) war-period WH (Heeres) 'M40'- (ie. 'M43'-) pattern, neatly 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstraps as was intended for a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Radfahrer-Schwadrons 2'
This is a very attractive - fully matching and actually truly scarcely encountered! - pair of (I deem) fairly early- (ie. mid-war-) period WH (Heeres), so-called: 'M40'- (ie. 'M43'-) pattern, neatly 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstraps as was piped in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and with certainty worn by! - a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Radfahrer-Schwadrons 2' (or: sergeant who served within a specific bicyclists'-unit numbered: '2') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used and/or worn-), condition. The neat shoulderstraps have the field-grey-coloured and/or woolen-based 'upperdecks' as to be expected and show the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured and desirable 'silk-like'-type piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The tongues are naturally also present and/or functional. The straps - which measure approximately 11,4 cms. in length each - show the 'standard'-pattern, bluish-grey-coloured (ie. truly sub-dued) 'Heeres'-type NCO-braid, attached. Both straps show a neat (smaller-sized, Gothic-styled- and/or: typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based) so-called: 'R'-cypher and equally styled '2'-numeral and single pip attached denoting the NCOs rank of a: 'Feldwebel'. All six devices (as well as the strap itself) show some moderate age- ie. fair tarnish and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible- and/or present). It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-type shoulderstraps can be easily regarded 'very scarce'. This particular pair originated from a larger cloth- ie. ('cyphered') shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. In any case is this an attractive and/or early- (ie. mid-war-) period, 'cyphered Heeres'-related shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Radfahrer-Schwadrons 2': I deem that I have priced this very attractive pair, accordingly!
