'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Bronze' (or: bronze-class infantry assault-badge ie. IAB) being a maker- (ie. 'AS'- ie. 'Adolf Scholze') marked so-called: 'solid-back'-example as was executed in zinc-based metal
This is a very attractive - and actually quite detailed and most certainly not that easily encountered! - 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Bronze' (or: bronze-class infantry assault-badge ie. IAB) being a neatly maker- (ie. 'AS' in a triangle- ie. 'Adolf Scholze'-) marked so-called: 'solid-back'-example as was executed in (darker) bronze-toned- and/or zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink') and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem issued albeit only minimally used ie. worn-), condition. This example is a nicely maker-marked award and shows the various characteristics - such as for example the typically ball-shaped pin-set-up, silver-coloured- and thin-shaped pin and/or typically modelled catch - as only seen on IABs as produced by the: 'Adolf Scholze'-company based in the town of Gablonz. The badge seems to be totally uncleaned and has a still a very attractive and somewhat darkened age-patina: all of its period-applied finish has been nicely preserved (as can be seen on the pictures). The pin and/or catch (ie. set-up-) are of course fully functional and present. The piece - which originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently found - was never cleaned and has been nicely preserved. Simply an honest 'Feinzink'-based, bronze-class IAB as was produced the desirable maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'Adolf Scholze'!
