'Cut-out-of-a tunic' WH (Heeres) breasteagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Mannschaften u. Uffz.')
This is an attractive - and clearly used and/or carefully 'cut-out-of-a tunic' - example of an early- (ie. mid-war-) pattern, WH (Heeres) breasteagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Mannschaften u. Unteroffiziere') being of the neatly machine-embroidered- (ie. 'BeVo'- ie. 'M41/43'-) pattern and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. clearly used- and/or most certainly once tunic-attached-), condition. The piece on offer here is of the typical, greyish-silver-toned type as woven onto a field-grey-coloured background and comes in a clearly used and/or carefully 'cut-out-of-a tunic'-condition: it was once (neatly hand-stitched!) onto a (typical 'HBT'-type) 'Heeres'-tunic and still shows some of the HBT-styled remains on its back: moreover, does it show some age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece originated from a small cloth insignia-lot that originated from the USA where it was brought as a so-called: 'veteran bring-back'-item. Simply a neat - and actually not that easily encountered! - WH (Heeres) breast-eagle that comes in a carefully 'cut-out-of-a tunic'-condition!
