'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' being a non-maker-marked example by the maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'Walter & Henlein' that comes stored in its period, 'Zellstoff'-based pouch
The attractive piece - which was surely issued but that was I deem hardly worn - came together with its folded and/or minimally confectioned (and approx. 20 cms. long-sized-) ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt'). The cross - which is totally void of any makers'-designation as more often - was with certainty never cleaned and has an attractive age-patina: it shows a minimally tarnished silver-toned finish and has a minimally darkened- (ie. somewhat 'blackened'- ie. stained) finish (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross has a nicely preserved, black-finished (ie. somewhat 'satin-like'- ie. somewhat matted-) core: it is totally void of any damage nor paint-loss (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece is just a tiny bit dusty and/or stained but was never cleaned nor polished. The cross is a typical non-marked specimen that was produced by the desirable maker: 'Walter & Henlein' as was based in the town of Gablonz a/d N. (ie. 'Hersteller 109'): it has very nice and/or pronounced detail as to be expected for a cross by this desirable maker. The 'Zellstoff'-based pouch shows some obvious wear and/or age but is fully complete and nicely preserved. The IC was recently found at a German private-household and was never before in collectors'-hands. Simply an attractive, complete albeit non-maker-marked 'EK II. Klasse' that is I deem accordingly priced!
