4-pieced, WH ie. WWII-period ribbon-bar (ie. 'Feld- o. Bandspange') showing the ribbons for an: 'EK II.Kl.', an: 'Ost'-medal, a: 'Westwall'-medal and a: WH 'Dienstauszeichnung der 4. Stufe'
This is an attractive 4-pieced, WH- ie. WWII-period ribbon-bar (ie. 'Feld- o. Bandspange') showing respectively the ribbons for an: 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' (or: iron cross second class), a: 'Medaille Winterschlacht im Osten 1941-42' (or: 'Ost'-medal), a: 'Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen' (aka: 'Westwall'-medal) and a: WH (Heeres o. KM) 'Dienstauszeichnung der 4. Stufe' (as was awarded for 4 years of loyal-service) and that shows a silver-toned (albeit tarnished) eagle-device attached, all four ribbons (and 'Auflage') coming in a wonderful- (and only moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The ribbons are of the regular- (ie. smaller) sized, ribbon-bar-size and measure approximately 1 cms. each (as is more often encountered). The 'Spange' comes in a very nice condition overall and is neatly 'backed' with a piece of black-coloured wool (as more often). The attached (and detailed!) device shows some minimal age ie. tarnish but has been nicely preserved. This particular example was in my opinion only moderately worn ie. used: it does show some usage-marks and/or minimal aging ie. wear. Simply an attractive and somewhat larger-sized WH-'Feld- o. Bandspange' having an unusual combination: great to decorate almost any WWII-tunic!
