Superb, linnen-based- and/or light-blue-coloured armband (ie. 'Armbinde') depicting an interwoven white-toned circle (ie. dot-) and dito white-coloured borders as was intended for usage by a: 'Luftschutzwart des Reichsluftschutz-Bundes'
This is an attractive, linnen-based- and/or light-blue- (ie. 'hellblauer'-) coloured armband (ie. 'Armbinde') depicting an interwoven white-toned circle (ie. dot-) and dito white-coloured borders as was intended for usage by a: 'Luftschutzwart o. Selbstschutz des Reichsluftschutz-Bundes o. RLB' and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit issued- and/or just minimally worn-), condition. These neat linnen-based armbands were used by the various (civil- and/or military-) staff-members of the German air-raid-warden service (ie. 'RLB') and signified: 'Luftschutzwart (Selbstschutz)'. The armband on offer here measures approximately 38 x 10,5 cms. and is executed in typical, fine-structured linnen (showing a white-coloured- and interwoven white circle or dot and dito borders as can be seen on the pictures). The piece shows some minimal staining ie. dust simply caused by moderate wear and/or decades of storage (as can be seen on the pictures). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that this specimen shows an interwoven makers'-designation that reads: 'BeVo-Wuppertal' (as can be noticed on the pictures). This example originates from a larger-sized armband-collection that was compiled over the years and that I recently acquired for the web-site. I deem that I have priced this interesting - and truly very nicely preserved! - RLB- (ie. 'Reichsluftschutz-Bund'-) related example accordingly!
