Superb, WH (Heeres) 'standard-pattern', field-grey-toned- and aluminium-based belt-buckle being a maker- (ie. 'Bernh. Haarmann'-) marked- and/or '1939'-dated example that comes mounted onto its (unit-stamped!) leather-based tab
This a truly attractive - moderately worn and actually very scarcely encountered! - example of a WH (Heeres) 'standard-pattern', field-grey-toned- and/or aluminium-based belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss für Unteroffiziere u. Mannschaften des Heeres') being a clearly maker- ('Bernh. Haarmann Metallwarenfabrik'-) marked- and/or '1939'-dated example that comes mounted onto its leather-based tab and that comes as recently found and/or stored for decades. The buckle retains a fair bit of its (typical) field-grey- (ie. olive-green-) coloured sprayed surface (just some regular paint-loss is noticable something that is not often encountered as can be seen on the pictures). The piece shows an impressed stamp on the leather-based tab (as can be seen on the pictures). The stamp shows the producing-company (ie. 'Bernh. Haarmann Metallwarenfabrik - Lüdenscheid') and the year of production '1939' (as can be seen on the pictures). The buckle - which shows the makers'-designation 'SRM' - came mounted onto its used but still souple - and of course still functional - brownish-coloured and genuine leather-based 'tab' (as can be seen on the pictures). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that the back of the leather-based tab shows an impressed unit-designation-stamp that (I deem) reads: '1./A.R.74' (as can be noticed on the pictures). I deem that I have priced this attractive - and with certainty not that ofen seen! - WH (Heeres) belt-buckle, accordingly!
