Superb - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres) 'M36'- (ie. 'M40'-) pattern WH (Heeres) NCO-type shoulderstraps for an: 'Oberfeldwebel der Infanterie-Truppen' (that shows a pair of bright-red-coloured, regimental-indicator-'Laschen' attached)
This is a truly very attractive pair of WH (Heeres) NCO-type, so-called: 'M36'- (ie. 'M40'-) pattern (rounded styled and I deem privately-purchased) shoulderstraps as was intended for an: 'Oberfeldwebel der Infanterie-Truppen' (or: sergeant first-class who served within an infantry-unit and that shows a pair of bright-red-coloured, so-called: regimental-indicator-'Laschen' period-attached and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit minimally used-, worn- and/or: most certainly carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The truly attractive straps - which are approximately 11,3 cms. sized in length each as more often encountered - have the 'standard-type'- and/or typical darker-green-coloured- and/or (smooth)woolen-based 'upperdecks' and show the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured and/or woolen-type branchcolour ie. piping, attached. Next to this, does the pair show a set of bright-red-coloured- and felt-woolen-based, so-called: regimental-indicator-'Laschen' period (and firmly!) attached (something that is truly scarcely seen!). The straps were in my opinion only minimally used- and/or worn and do show some moderate staining and/or age simply caused by minimal wear and/or decades of storage (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair shows the (standard-pattern) silverish-grey-toned NCO-braid and two pairs of (matching, regular-sized- and zinc-based) pips period-attached (as can be noticed on the pictures). The straps come naturally mounted onto their functional (also entirely woolen-based) tongues and originated in my opinion from a private tailor-shop. It should be noted that these early-war-period 'Infanterie'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap-pairs are with certainty not that easily encountered and can be graded 'fairly scarce'. This particular pair - which is as stated above completely matching and that was most certainly worn as such as a pair - originated from an older cloth- and/or shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive pair of early-war-period so-called: 'M36- (ie. M-40-) pattern NCO-type shoulderstraps that was intended for - and clearly worn by! - an: 'Oberfeldwebel der Infanterie-Truppen'!
