Attractive - albeit clearly worn! - tombak- (ie. 'Buntmetall'-) based- and/or non-maker-marked example of a WH (Luftwaffe) 'Frontflugspange für Kampfflieger in Bronze' as was produced by a (by me) unidentified maker

This is an attractive - and truly pronounced albeit clearly worn- and/or used! - typical tombak- (ie. 'Buntmetall'-) based (albeit as more often non-maker-marked) example of a WH (Luftwaffe) 'Frontflugspange für Kampfflieger in Bronze' (or: bronze-class bomber-pilots'-clasp ie. FFS) as was produced by a (by me) unidentified maker and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. clearly used- and/or worn-), condition. The neat piece has simply extraordinary detail and retains a fair bit of its period-applied- (and somewhat bright albeit partly tarnished!), golden-toned finish: the (originally) silver-coloured- (and also typical 'Buntmetall'-based) eagle-ie. bomb-device (which is additionally attached to the clasp) is equally detailed but has lost (most of) its silverish-toned finish. The piece is as stated a non-maker-marked example that I could not determine. Is does show, however, great character and/or fine, pronounced detail. The clasp is naturally in great shape ie. order: the (golden-coloured- ie. also 'Buntmetall'-based) pin-/ie. pin-attachment, period-catch and/or single rivet are in fine (and/or undamaged nor repaired-) order. The clasp has never been cleaned nor polished and has a neat albeit clearly tarnished 'age-patina' as can be noticed on the pictures. The neat piece originated from a private-household in Germany and was never before part of any collection. Simply a neat - and not that often encountered! - Luftwaffe-award ie. 'FFS in Bronze' that is I deem priced according to its truly used- and/or worn, condition!
