Superb example of a - fairly scarcely encountered! - WH (Heeres ie. Waffen-SS) 'Demjansk'-campaign-shield as executed in typical magnetic, so-called: 'Eisenblech' (and being of the 'missing-log' variant-pattern)

This is a very attractive - and/or truly quite detailed! - example of the (actually nowadays scarcely encountered!) WH (Heeres ie. Waffen-SS) so-called: 'Demjansk'-campaign-shield being of the 'missing-log' variant-pattern that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem issued- albeit simply never worn- nor tunic-attached-), condition. The (magnetic and minimally converse-shaped) shield - which is executed in greyish-silver-coloured so-called: 'Eisenblech' - comes naturally complete with its metal back-plate and retains its originally attached pins ie. prongs in place and does show its (typical greyish-green-toned- and hole-punched) so-called 'backing'-paper (as can be seen on the pictures). The shield - that comes mounted onto its field-grey-woolen cloth - shows some minimal aging caused by storage for decades: some minimal staining is visible and/or present but the shield still retains nice detail as to be expected. The shield was recently found at a private-household in Germany and was simply stored as such for decades: it was never before part of a collection. It should furthermore be mentioned that these 'Demjansk'-campaign-shields are nowadays hard to come by. Simply a very nice - and naturally original! - example of this collectable and desirable campaign-shield that nowadays is not that often offered for sale: I deem that I have priced this attractive example accordingly!
