Attractive - and very unusual! - WH (Heeres) 'Panzer'-breast-eagle as executed in 'BeVo'-type-pattern and pre-mounted on black-coloured wool as was specifically intended for usage by soldiers (ie. NCOs) on their 'wrap-around'-tunics
This is an attractive example of an - I deem simply never used- nor even tunic-attached! - WH (Heeres) 'Panzer'-breast-eagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Mannschaften u. Unteroffiziere des Heeres') as executed in 'BeVo'-type-pattern and that comes (I deem 'off-factory') pre-mounted onto a piece of black-coloured wool as was specifically intended for usage by soldiers (ie. NCOs) onto their (dress-) tunics (ie. 'wrap-around'-tunics') and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. The piece is (I deem) 'off-factory'-folded and/or carefully trimmed and was 'off-factory'- ie. period-sewn onto a piece of black-coloured- and/or smooth-type wool as to be expected. It deals with the detailed and/or 'standard-pattern'-type WH (Heeres) breasteagle (as executed in white-toned linnen on a dito black-coloured- and/or linnen-based background) that saw usage on most (pre-war- and/or early-war-period-) black-coloured, so-called: 'wrap-around'-tunics. This is just the first such interesting - and with certainty scarcely found! - piece of typical 'Panzer'-related insignia. Great to restore any 'wrap-around'-tunic or to be stored as such in any insignia-collection!
