Attractive - and actually rarely seen! - WH (Heeres) breasteagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Mannschaften u. Unteroffiziere des Heeres') being of the 'last-ditch'- (ie. later-war-period-) and/or entirely 'printed'-pattern
This is a very attractive - and actually fairly rarely encountered! - WH (Heeres) breasteagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Mannschaften u. Unteroffiziere des Heeres') being of the 'last-ditch'- (ie. later-war-period-) and entirely 'printed'-pattern and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. simply never used- ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. These printed versions of the 'standard-pattern' army-type breast-eagle were introduced in late 1944 ie. the beginning of 1945 and saw only limited usage. They are sometimes found on the - battle-dress like-model-, so-called: '1944-type' Heeres tunics. I personally have also seen this printed-type eagles being (originally!) attached to such a late-war M44-tunic. The piece on offer here comes in a never confectioned format and is just a tiny bit stained and/or does show some minimal wrinkled areas (simply caused by handling over the years). The piece came as 'straightly cut-out' of a larger sheet (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a truly rarely encountered 'printed' WH (Heeres) breast-eagle that comes in a never used- ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'- condition!
