Attractive - and scarcely found! - later-war-period, WH (Heeres) - ie. 'Panzer'-related, so-called: 'M44'-pattern, trapezoid-shaped breasteagle being a greyish-coloured example as executed in the 'BeVo'-weave pattern on a black-coloured background
This is an attractive - and with certainty scarcely found! - later-war-period, WH (Heeres) - (ie. I deem) - 'Panzer'-related, so-called: 'M44'-pattern, trapezoid-shaped breasteagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Mannschaften u. Unteroffiziere') being a greyish-blue-coloured example as executed in neat 'BeVo'-weave pattern on a black-coloured background and that comes in a never used- ie. 'virtually mint', condition. The piece on offer here was never folded- nor trimmed and comes as 'straigthly cut-off the role' (as can be seen on the pictures). This was the 'standard'-issue-pattern WH-eagle as was intended for usage on the black-coloured, woolen-based Panzer 'wrap-around-tunics' that was intended to replace the common-type (and as such was much easier to apply). The piece on offer here originates from a private-household and was simply never used: it bears some obvious staining simply caused by decades of storage only. I deem that I have priced this interesting - and with certainty rarely seen! - 'Panzer'-related, so-called: 'M44'-pattern Pz-breast-eagle accordingly!
