Attractive - and 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'! - example of a police- (ie. WH (Heeres) related-) arm-eagle (ie. 'Ärmeladler') as was intended for usage by the staff of the notorious 'Feldgendarmerie-Truppen'
I recently uncovered a period-packed(!) 'bundle' holding 10 - fully identical! - examples of the 'standard-issue'-pattern, police- (ie. WH (Heeres) related) arm-eagle (ie. 'Ärmeladler') as was specifically intended for usage by the staff of the notorious 'Feldgendarmerie-Truppen' and that come all ten in an overall very nice- (ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'- and/or simply never tunic-attached-), condition. The pieces are executed in bright-orange-coloured linnen and come mounted onto a piece of field-grey-coloured wool as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). These neat arm-eagles were specifically designed for usage by the 'Feldgendarmerie' (= field-police) units and saw wide-spread usage throughout the war. The eagles on offer here show truly great pronounced detail and come in a great (ie. 'minty' and/or truly never tunic-attached-), condition: they were never worn nor tunic-attached and and show an additional 'backing' made-out of (thin-shaped) cheese-duck as is more often seen (as can be seen on the pictures). My asking-price is naturally intended for a single piece. Simply a great occasion to acquire a superb 'Feldgendarmerie'-related 'Ärmeladler' for a competitive price!
