This is an attractive - and I deem just moderately used- ie. worn! - example of a post WWI- (ie. 'Weimar Republic'-) period, reddish-copper- (ie. messing-) based civil-styled belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss') that was worn by the members of the butchers-trade-organisation (ie. 'Metzger'-guild) and that comes in a moderately used and/or overall nicely preserved, condition. The neat buckle - that in my opinion is of a quite early production and that can (I deem) be dated around 1928/29 - has lost some of its silver-coloured finish without showing any defaults: it was (I deem) never cleaned (nor polished) and is just a tiny bit dirty ie. stained (as can be seen on the pictures). The buckle itself is unmarked (something that is more often observed) as can be noticed on the pictures). The neat piece was recently found at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. Simply an attractive, post WWI-period-example that is priced according to its used albeit still overall nicely preserved, condition!
