Stunning - early-period! - WH (Heeres) 'tropical-issued' belt and accompanying belt-buckle (being a maker- ie. 'GB'- marked and/or typical olive-green-coloured example that comes mounted onto its greenish-coloured and/or: 'webbing'-based tab)

The truly attractive - and actually rarely encountered and early period! - WH (Heeres) 'tropical-issued' belt and buckle-set was always together and comprises of a (typical greenish-toned- and early pattern!) belt and equally-styled buckle. The buckle - which is as mentioned above a maker- (ie. 'GB'-) marked example that was produced by the: 'Gustav Brehmer'-company - just shows some moderate age ie. dust and/or staining: it is void of any real damage and was just minimally used- and/or worn. The buckle truly retains most of its period-applied, olive-green-coloured- (and somewhat 'matted-styled'-) paint (as can be seen on the pictures). The buckle - which truly retains pronounced detail - came still mounted onto its original greenish-coloured- (and/or typical 'webbing'-fabricated) tab as to be expected. The typical WH (Heeres) 'tropical-issued'- and/or entirely 'web-based' belt (ie. 'Koppelriemen') is executed in equally-styled greenish-tan-coloured and/or neatly woven linnen (ie. 'webbing'). It has an equally-styled webbing-based tongue and measures approximately 95 cms. in length. It comes in an equally nicely preserved and overall very nice- (ie. most certainly issued- albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The belt is (unusally!) showing a red-inked makers'-designation (which is impossible to decypher) and presumed date (1942?) as can be noticed on the pictures. Morever, does it show a (red-toned) inked size-stamp under the tongue (that reads: '95') as can be seen on the pictures. The set was (I deem) just moderately used and its overall condition is still very nice and of course fully functional. The metal-based catch retains most (ie. almost all) of its greenish- ie. typical field-grey-coloured finish. These belt-buckle sets saw wide-spread usage within the DAK (or: 'Deutsches Afrika Korps') but saw also usage in the later-war years (for example in the Balkan- and/or Mediterranean-) combat-areas. It should be noted that these early-period, green-toned army-type 'tropical-issue' belt-sets can nowadays easily be graded 'fairly scarce' and come not that often for sale. I deem that I have priced this very attractive, early war-period and truly 'tropical-issued'-set, accordingly!
