This is an attractive example of an - actually scarcely encountered! - RAD (or: 'Reichsarbeitsdienst') so-called: 'Traditions-Mützenabzeichen', as was intended for (and with certainty worn by) a member who served within the region: 'Arbeitsgau XV' (being situated in the province Niedersachsen-Ost), in overall nice (albeit moderately used ie. cap-removed-) condition. The metal badge (executed in silvered- and/or pressed 'Buntmetall' as is more ofen encountered) depicts two crossed horse-heads with below a swastika-sign. The badge comes mounted onto its (functional) pin-/pin-catch-set-up (for attachment to the cap). This badge is also figured in the Heering-Hüsken lapel-pin-catalogue, wherein it is given a unique reference-number (3805JG) and an estimated value of 150 Eu. The badge on offer here and was I deem never cleaned nor polished: it still retains a very nice- and/or minimally tarnished age-patina. Simply an attractive and actually not that often encountered (semi-official!) RAD-'Traditions-Mützenabzeichen' that comes not that often for sale!
