I recently acquired two - fully identical and/or truly used- and/or carefully tunic-removed! - examples of the (typical later-war-period), WH (Heeres) so-called: 'M44'-pattern- (and/or trapezoid-shaped!) breasteagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Mannschaften u. Unteroffiziere des Heeres') as both executed in the neat 'BeVo'-weave pattern and that are both (unusually!) showing an interwoven 'BeVo-Wuppertal'-makers'-designation and that come both in an overall nice- (ie. moderately used- and/or once tunic-attached-), condition. The pieces - which are both executed in field-grey- ie. greyish-coloured linnen - show some obvious wear and/or age will be hard to be upgraded. These breast-eagles were the 'standard'-issue-type WH breasteagle as were used on most (later-war-period and/or battle-dress-shaped) 'M-44-model-tunics. Both eagles come in a nicely confectioned condition and just bear some truly minimal staining and/or wrinkled appearance and still show some of the period stitching-holes (as can be seen on the pictures). My asking-price is naturally per single specimen. Simply a neat opportunity to acquire a nice eagle: great to restore any M44 army-tunic or ideally fitted to be stored in any eagle- ie. cloth-collection!
