This is an attractive - and with certainty not that often- ie. actually quite scarcely found! - DRB- (ie. 'Deutsche Reichsbahn'-) (specifically female-related!) so-called: 'Dienstnadel für Eisenbahnerinnen in Silber' (or: silver-class service-badge for female DRB-staff) being neatly maker- (ie. 'P.Reiss - Pforzheim'-) marked example that comes in an overall nicely preserved and only minimally used- and/or worn, condition. The tiny piece (measuring only 3,2 x 2,2 cms.) is of the typical, silvered 'Buntmetall'-version and retains very pronounced details and has a great ie. only minimally darkened- ie. tarnished age-patina: it retains a fair bit of its typical silver-toned finish and has - I deem - never been cleaned nor polished (as can be seen on the pictures). The neat piece - that was recently found at a German private-household - came naturally mounted onto its period (silver-toned) pin and has a fully functional (and non-altered!) pin- ie. pin-/catch set-up. These interesting DRB-service-badges were instituted as late as 1944 and did show only limited distribution and/or usage (being the reason why they are not commonly found on todays-market). Simply an attractive example of this: 'Dienstnadel für Eisenbahnerinnen in Silber' that is most certainly priced according to its nicely preserved and/or fully untouched, condition!
