This is an interesting - and actually never before seen! - commemorative and presumably D.A.F.- (ie. 'Deutsches Arbeitsfront') related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie') as issued to commemorate a 'DAF'-gathering (showing the Gothic characters 'NST', a double horse-head-device (implying Hannover?) and 'Reichsadler'-device) and that comes in an overall very nicely preserved, condition. The detailed and/or pronounced badge - which is executed in silver-toned- and - I deem- typical, molded aluminium-based metal - shows the typical DAF-device (ie. cog-wheel with swastika) coupled with an illustration of a towns-view and was almost certainly never cleaned nor polished. The circular-shaped and medium-sized badge (having an approximate diameter of 4,2 cms.) shows a clearly present makers'-designation (that reads: 'Lehmann & Wundenberg - Hannover') and comes naturally mounted onto its (functional) pin- ie. pin/catch set-up. It should be noted that all 'tinnies' that were intended to commemorate an event at regional- (ie. 'town'- ie. 'Bezirks'-) level (such as the piece on offer here) saw much more limited usage and can easily be graded 'fairly scarce'. Simply an attractive, DAF -related 'tinnie' ie. 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen' that is (I deem) accordingly priced!
