This is an attractive - and truly fairly scarcely encountered! - so-called: 'Truppen-Traditionsabzeichen o. Ärmelshild' (or 'Plakette' as officially known per regulation) as was executed in typical copper-based metal and that comes mounted on its black-coloured- and/or shield-shaped, woolen-based (and white-piped) 'backing' as worn and/or stored for decades. The interesting - and presumably field-produced - badge measures approximately 6,3 x 5,5 cms. and is quite detailed: it depicts an upward postitioned arrow as to be expected. The badge on offer here has never been cleaned nor polished and shows truly great and/or pronounced detail: I deem that it was with certainty worn and/or used as such (and still shows some traces of having been worn as such). The piece originates from a private-household in Germany where it was found amongst a few other Panzer-related insignia-pieces. As possiblly known were these (actually semi-official!) badges also properly entered in both 'Wehrpass' and/or 'Soldbuch': they also were handed-out with a semi-official award-document. Simply an attractive 'Panzer-Division'-related so-called: 'Truppen-Traditionsabzeichen o. Ärmelshild' that is accordingly priced!
