Early- (ie. most certainly pre-war-) period 'Deutsches Luftsport Verband'- (ie. DLV-) related- and/or neatly hand-embroidered, so-called: trade- ie. special-career patch as was worn to signify (former) membership within this organisation

This is a truly nicely executed (ie. unusually hand-embroidered!) example of a: 'Deutsches Luftsport Verband'- (ie. DLV-) related- and machine-embroidered, so-called: special-career-patch (ie. 'Laufbahn- o. Tätigkeitsabzeichen') as was specifically intended to signify (former) membership within this organisation and that comes in an overall nice- (and - I deem - only moderately used- ie. once tunic-attached-), condition. The DLV was an in the year 1933 formed organisation and was Germany's first move to establish the (later formed) airforce, the 'Luftwaffe'. The 'Laufbahn- o. Tätigkeitsabzeichen' on offer here was only worn for a short period of time. The patch comes in an overall nice and (I deem) only minimally worn and/or carefully tunic-removed condition. The patch is neatly hand-embroidered in bright, silverish-toned 'braid' onto a bluish-grey-coloured- (and/or typically woolen-based) background: moreover, is it neatly 'backed' with a piece of black-toned linnen (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive - and actually truly scarcely encountered! - hand-embroidered 'DLV'-related trade- ie. special-career-patch!
