This is an attractive - 'variant'-pattern! - WH (Heeres) 'Gebirgsjäger'- (ie. mountain-troopers-) related arm-badge, being a desirable example as was executed in the machine-woven pattern on a thin-shaped (and unusually seen!) field-grey-toned background and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. I deem simply never used- nor once tunic-attached-), condition. The piece is neatly machine-embroidered on a field-grey-coloured (and/or linnen-based- and thin-shaped) background and is showing the famous 'Edelweiss' flower. The piece was as stated above never used nor once tunic-attached and does just show some minimal age and/or staining simply caused by decades of storage only. Simply a nice occasion to acquire a 'variant-pattern' 'Gebirgsjäger' (mountain-troopers) armbadge for an interesting price!
