Single, Waffen-SS officers'-pattern 'cyphered' shoulderboard as piped in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour: 'SS-Untersturmführer der Inf.-Trpn. u. Mitglied des Rgts o. Standarte ''Germania''

This is a very attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless rarely encountered! - Waffen-SS officers'-type shoulderboard in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for an: 'SS-Untersturmführer der Infanterie-Truppen u. Mitglied des Regiments o. Standarte ''Germania'' (part of the: '2. SS-Panzer-Division' ''Das Reich'' and that comes in overall very nice- (albeit I deem just moderately used ie. worn- and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The neat shoulderboard - which never had a tongue attached and that was clearly used as a board of the 'sew-in'-pattern - has a somewhat 'sub-dued'- (ie. greyish-silverish-coloured) 'upperdeck' and is executed in black-coloured wool as to be expected. It shows the desirable 'silk-like'-type, white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured piping attached and shows a (regular-sized, 'Buntmetall'-based and Latin-styled) so-called: 'Ziffer' (ie. cypher) period-attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The board - which measures approximately 10,4 cms. in length - never had any pips attached denoting the junior-officers'-rank of an: 'SS-Untersturmführer'. The board has most certainly been worn and shows some moderate age, usage and/or moderate staining. Simply an attractive, 'cyphered' Waffen-SS officers'-type shoulderboard that comes in a very desirable branchcolour: I deem that I have priced this superb Waffen-SS-pattern, officers'-type 'SS-Untersturmführer'-shoulderboard, accordingly!
