This is a neat - and actually not that easily ie. fairly scarcely encountered! - so-called: 'Reichsfinanzverwaltung- o. Zollgrenzschutz Ärmelschild für die Armbinde' being a detailed- and/or pronounced example as was executed in golden-toned- (ie. 'Feuervergoldetes'), zinc-based metal and bearing the unique serial-number: '8415', in overall nice- (albeit clearly issued- ie. worn-), condition. These attractive oval-shaped shields (measuring approximately 8,8 x 6,8 cms.) were normally worn on the upper-left arm of the various 'Zoll'- (ie. customs-) related uniforms and were mounted on a woolen- (or linnen-) based armband: this example still shows the 8 holes with which it was once armband-attached. The piece shows some obvious age, wear and/or usage but is still very detailed and/or pronounced. Simply a nice and attractive 'Reichsfinanzverwaltung- o. Zollgrenzschutz'-related item that is actually not that often encountered: I deem that I have priced this neat item accordingly!
