Category:
This is an attractive single-pieced, WH- (ie. WWII-period) ribbon-bar (ie. 'Feld- o. Bandspange') showing the ribbon for a: WH (Heeres o. KM etc.) a: 'Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen' (aka: 'Westwall'-medal) that is showing an unusual miniature-device attached and that comes in a wonderful- (and only moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. This medal is of the regular- (ie. larger) sized, ribbon-bar-size and measure approximately 2,5 cms. (as is more often encountered). The 'Spange' comes in a very nice condition overall and is not 'backed': it comes mounted onto a crimped, chrome-toned backing-plate (as more often). The attached (and detailed!) reddish-copper-toned device shows some minimal age ie. tarnish but has been nicely preserved. This particular example was in my opinion only moderately worn ie. used: it does show some usage-marks and/or minimal aging ie. wear. Simply an attractive - and unusually found! - WH-'Feld- o. Bandspange': great to decorate almost any WWII-tunic!
