The very attractive WH (Heeres o. Kriegsmarine) buckle was (I deem) never issued nor worn and truly retains all of its fairly shiny ie. somewhat 'satin-like'- and/or darker-blue-coloured sprayed colour: just some normal handling-marks are noticable (see pictures) something that was I deem just caused by storage for decades only. The piece was most certainly never cleaned and comes as recently found. The buckle - which has very nice and/or pronounced detail! - show an impressed makers'-designation that reads: 'JFS' and is as such an example that was produced by the desirable producing-company named: 'Josef Feix u. Söhne' (something that is with certainty not always observed). Furthermore, does this example also show the tan-brown-coloured catch- ie. roller-set-up as only seen on by JFS-produced belt-buckles. These darker-bluish-coloured- and/or steel-based belt-buckles are most times attributed to naval coastal-artillery- (ie. 'Küsten-Artillerie'-) units but are in my personal opinion being the 'standard-type', army- (ie. naval) type belt-buckle that was used throughout the war. Simply a very attractive and fully untouched 'JFS'-example that is I deem accordingly priced: impossible to upgrade this example!
