This is an attractive - early TR-period and actually quite rarely encountered! - silver-toned- (and I deem 'Buntmetall'-based) so-called: 'Ehrenzeichen für 25-jährige Dienstleistung bei der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr des Grossherzogtum und Freistaat Baden (des 3. Modell)' that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately worn ie. clearly used-), condition. These interesting 'Freiwilligen Feuerwehr'- (ie. voluntary fire-brigade-) loyal-service 'bars' were awarded in the early thirties (upto 1936) and show a detailed swastika, regional shield of the Baden-province and text: '25. Jahre der Freiw. Feuerwehr'. These (not widespread known!) loyal-service 'bars' are executed in bright-silver-toned 'Buntmetall' and normally show an 'underlay' of reddish-coloured and yellow-striped ribbon (the example on offer here misses this ribbon). The piece is a fairly large-sized specimen that measures approximately: 5,8 x 2,8 cms. (as always): it was (I deem) never cleaned nor polished and has a minimally tarnished 'age-patina' (as can be seen on the pictures). It comes natuarally mounted onto its fully unaltered and of course functional (flattened) pin and typical catch (ie. set-up). Simply a nice occasion to acquire a rarely seen (and not that commonly known!) 'Ehrenzeichen für 25-jährige Dienstleistung bei der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr des Grossherzogtum und Freistaat Baden (des 3. Modell)' for a justified price!
