'Panzerkampfabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class panzer-assault badge or PAB) being a typical maker- (ie. 'ÜÜ'- or: 'Ferdinand Wiedmann'-) marked - and/or zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based specimen of the 'classic set-up'-pattern

This is a neat - and just moderately used! - example of a so-called: 'Panzerkampfabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class panzer-assault badge or PAB) being a typical, maker- (ie. 'ÜÜ'- or: 'Ferdinand Wiedmann') marked - and/or zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based specimen of the so-called: 'classic set-up'-pattern and that comes in an overall nice- (and I deem moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The badge on offer here concerns a mid- (ie. later-) war-period, zinc- ie. 'Feinzink'-based specimen that has regrettably lost most of its silver-coloured finish: this has been faded-away (ie. 'migriert') over the years. The piece retains, however, a very attractive appearance still showing pronounced detail as to be expected by a badge of this specific pattern. As stated above, is the piece a maker-marked example that shows various characteristics - such as for example the typically-shaped 'pin' and/or soldered catch-set-up - typically seen with PABs as produced by the: 'Ferdinand Wiedmann'-company: it deals with a so-called: 'classic set-up'-pattern (as uniquely numbered with the reference-number: '5.2.1.' according to the excellent reference-work entitled: 'The Panzer-Assault badge of WWII' by my Belgian friend Philippe de Bock). The neat piece - which is very pronounced and has maintained great detail - naturally shows all the details as to be expected for a badge by this particular maker. It was found as such at a German private-household and was never before part of a collection. Simply a neat and honest, silver-class PAB that comes in an overall nice albeit moderately used ie. worn, condition!
