Superb, WH (Luftwaffe) 'Flugzeugführer-Abzeichen' (or: pilots'-badge) being a (typical) non-maker-marked- and/or: 'Buntmetall'-based example by the maker: 'Friedrich Linden' and that came stored in its period etui

The - with certainty early-war-period- and/or very detailed! - WH (Luftwaffe) 'Flugzeugführer-Abzeichen' (or: pilots'-badge) has only moderately been worn and comes naturally mounted on its fully functional (and fully unaltered!) pin- and/or functional catch (ie. typical catch set-up). The award shows a 'separately'- (and/or truly very detailed!) silverish-coloured eagle-device attached (by means of two firmly attached- (and unaltered!) rivets (as is visible on the back). The badge truly retains most of its period finish but does show a minimally tarnished- (ie. typical 'Buntmetall'- ie. 'Tombak'-like-) age-patina as is more often encountered on these high-quality produced, early-period Luftwaffe war-badges. The badge is void of a makers'-designation (something that is normal with these by F.L.L.-produced war-badges) but is in all respects an example that can be attributed to the desirable maker: 'Friedrich Linden' as was based in the town of Lüdenscheid: the award shows naturally all the specific details as known for a genuine badge by this particular maker. The piece is just minimally stained ie. dirty but has never been cleaned: the bright silver-coloured wreath and/or equally-coloured eagle-device both retain a very nice albeit minimally tarnished appearance. The award came stored it its period (fairly luxuriously-styled and matching) etui ie. box that comes in a complete albeit just moderately used and/or somewhat stained, condition. The etui shows a (fully present and nicely preserved!) velvet-based interior and shows on its lid the (golden-toned and complete) text that simply reads: 'Luftwaffen Flugzeugführer-Abz.' (as can be noticed on the pictures). The award-set was always together and originates from a private-household in Germany and was never before in collectors'-hands. It should be noted that these attractive 'Tombak'-based, LW-'Flugzeugführer-Abzeichen'-sets by the 'Friedrich Linden'-company are X-times more rarely encountered than their 'Feinzink'-based counterparts and can easily be graded: 'scarce' and are not that easily encountered: I deem that I have priced this very attractive piece according to its comparative rarity and/or desirability!
