This is a neat - and actually not that easily encountered! - so-called: WH (Luftwaffe) 'Fallschirmschützen-Abzeichen in Stoff' (or: cloth-based paratroopers'-jump-badge) being a nicely machine-embroidered (albeit relic) specimen that comes in a clearly used- (ie. carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The neat piece is machine-embroidered in multi-coloured- (and/or linnen-based) thread and does show some obvious age and/or moth-damage. It shows, however, still great pronounced detail in order to closely resemble its metal-based counterparts. This example - which is as more often void of an additional 'backing' - was most certainly used and afterwards stored as such for years by the veteran to whom it was issued. These cloth-based versions were preferred by the soldiers, NCOs and/or officers 'stationed in the field' for obvious reasons. Simply a neat - and fully 'text-book' albeit clearly used! - example of a WH (Luftwaffe) 'Fallschirmschützen-Abzeichen in Stoff' that is I deem priced according to its obvious 'relic'-condition!
