2-pieced medal-bar (ie. 'Spange') showing two: WH (Heeres o. Kriegsmarine) so-called: 'Dienstauszeichnungen für 4 u. 12 Jahre Treue Dienste' that both come period-mounted as a so-called: 'Doppelspange'

This is an attractive - albeit just moderately used- and/or worn - example of a two-pieced (and non-detachable) WH (Heeres o. Kriegsmarine) medal-bar (ie. 'Orden- o. Doppelspange') showing respectively a: WH (Heeres o. Kriegsmarine) so-called: 'Dienstauszeichnung für 4 Jahre Treue Dienste' (or: loyal-service medal for four years of loyal service) and a: WH (Heeres o. Kriegsmarine) so-called: 'Dienstauszeichnung für 12 Jahre Treue Dienste' (or: or loyal-service medal for 12 years of loyal service) both examples having a detailed silver- (ie. golden-) coloured eagle-device period-attached and that both come in an overall very nice- (albeit I deem just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. Both medals are nicely preserved examples that seem to have never been cleaned nor polished: both come in an equally tarnished- ie. somewhat dusty condition and also come mounted on their period-attached ribbons (which show some obvious fading). Both 'DA' have a neat somewhat 'bright' appearance and just show a mininally darkened age-patina (as can seen on the pictures): something that is also valid for both eagle-devices. The 'Spange' comes period-mounted as a so-called: 'Doppelspange' that is not 'backed' with a piece of wool but that is mounted onto a chrome-based 'backing-plate' as more often. The piece retains a (still functional) pin-ie. catch set-up as to be expected. Of addtional interest is, moreover, the fact that this example came with its accompanying 2-pieced ribbon-bar (ie. 'Feld- o. Bandspange') that is fully functional and that shows its firmly-attached silver- ie. golden-toned eagle-deviced. Simply an attractive - and most certainly desirable! - example of a: 'WH-Doppelspange' (set) that can be mounted on almost any (Heeres o. Kriegsmarine) tunic!
