This is a truly attractive - and I deem just moderately worn- and/or used! - example of a so-called: 'Nahkampfspange in Bronze' (or: bronze-class close-combat clasp ie. CCC) being a clearly maker- (ie. 'FLL'-) marked and/or (typical) quite converse-shaped, so-called: 'second pattern'-specimen as was produced by the maker- (ie. 'Hersteller') 'Friedrich Linden' (ie. FLL) and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem just moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The piece - which has a very detailed and/or pronounced appearance - retains most of its (light-toned- ie. bright) bronze-coloured finish (something that is most certainly not always the case!) and naturally retains its 'crimped' and metal-based 'back-plate' (that comes a bit loose as more often). The 'Spange' shows the (to be expected) designer-designation ('Fec.W.E. Peekhaus') and makers'-designation-logo ('FLL') as to be expected and is as stated a somewhat converse-shaped example that comes mounted onto its (fully functional- and/or bronze-coloured) flute-shaped pin (and/or typical 'thin-shaped-wire'-type catch- ie. soldered catch-set-up) both which are of course still present, unaltered and/or fully functional. A similar example is also described in the excellent reference-book entitled: 'The German Close Combat Clasp of World War II' by my friend Thomas M. Durante wherein this particular pattern is given the unique reference-numeral: '2.4 - 'FLL “2nd”-pattern (O2/R2) '. The piece was found as such at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. Simply a very attractive example of a bronze-class 'Nahkampfspange': it should be noted that original examples of this neat combat-award are nowadays getting hard to find. I deem that I have priced this neat bronze-class example, accordingly!
